In Celebration of Earth Day 2021!

In an effort to promote our club’s community presence and love of the outdoors with some stewardship activity, I propose an Earth Day Challenge: adopt a portion of your favorite bike route!

As a cyclist, you love riding and I’m sure you have noticed the amount of trash along our roads. Earth Day Leaders are rallying April 20-22. During that time take a selfie with your PVC kit and your roadside collection, post to Instagram with the #portlandveloclub #earthday or email it to Nate Smith, president@porlandvelo.com who will upload it to our FB page. We’ll have some awesome swag to give away to the person with the most trashy photo!

Thank you for your participation and for ‘restoring our roads’ so that they are enjoyable again!

    Im in for celebrating Earth Day by doing something helpful, so great idea! Im ending my ride in Manhattan on Earth Day… probably plenty of trash there! 🙂
